Building Dignity: A New Sanitation Block for Mountain of Life Tabernacle

At The Mountain of Life Tabernacle International Ministries, we believe that faith and community care go hand in hand. To continue serving our growing congregation and guests with dignity, comfort, and cleanliness, we are launching a new project — the construction of a simple, durable, and cost-efficient lavatory block for the church grounds.

This new facility responds to an urgent need for clean and accessible sanitation, especially during large gatherings and worship services. Designed with both practicality and compassion in mind, the structure will include five functional sections:

  • Men’s toilet with urinal

  • Women’s toilet

  • Guest toilet

  • Shared bathroom with shower area

Compact yet thoughtfully planned at 6.6m x 3.3m, the facility will be both space-efficient and easy to maintain. By aligning all plumbing fixtures along a single rear wall, the church can reduce construction costs and ensure easier upkeep in the years to come.

Construction is expected to be completed in just eight weeks, using local materials and skilled community labor. Members of the congregation will play an active role in site preparation and supervision, reinforcing unity and stewardship.

Project Timeline:

  • Weeks 1–2: Site clearing, excavation, and foundation

  • Weeks 3–5: Walling, roofing, and plastering

  • Weeks 6–7: Plumbing, painting, and finishing

  • Week 8: Final inspection and handover

Estimated Cost: 24,000,000 UGX (Approx.≈ 7,000 USD)

Expected Benefits:

  • Clean, accessible, and gender-sensitive sanitation for all worshippers

  • Improved hygiene and reduced risk of disease transmission

  • A safe and dignified environment for women and guests

  • Local employment through community labor

  • A strong testimony of the church’s leadership in public health and development

This project is more than just bricks and mortar — it’s a reflection of our shared calling to honor Yahuah through service and stewardship. Together, we are building not only a lavatory, but also a legacy of dignity, care, and community faith.
